Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA seeks a Sr. Manager, Finance to lead FP&A activities with executive visibility, driving spending and contract profitability across business segments.

You will partner with production, engineering, sales, program management, accounting, and executives to inform strategic decisions and scale rapid growth. A strong background in ERP/SQL and advanced Excel is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a finance, accounting, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in finance or operations.
• 4+ years in a supervisory, lead, or management role.
• MBA preferred; experience in fast-moving manufacturing or tech environments is a plus.
• Experience with ERP systems and SQL programming; advanced Excel modelling skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify resource requirements for business groups including headcount, capital, refurbishment/build costs and operating expenses.
• Work with production and engineering to identify KPIs and analyze performance against targets.
• Prepare financial analyses to inform operational decisions.
• Collaborate with supply chain to track financial obligations as the company scales.
• Coordinate with accounting for financial close analysis and group reporting.
• Provide insight on spending variances and department-level reporting.
• Coordinate capital expenditure tracking and cash forecasts.
• Provide financial analysis and support to business initiatives.
• Manage and develop a team of financial analysts.
