Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA seeks a Sr. Manager, Finance to lead FP&A, partnering with production, engineering, sales, program management, accounting, and executives.

The role drives spending and contract profitability across business segments and provides strategic financial leadership onsite. You will build robust financial models, manage a team of analysts, track KPIs, and deliver insights on variances while coordinating capex tracking and cash forecasts to support rapid growth in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in finance or operations.
• 4+ years in supervisory, lead, or management role.
• MBA preferred.
• Experience in fast-moving manufacturing or technology companies.
• Experience with ERP databases and SQL.
• Advanced Excel financial modelling.
• Strong presentation of analytic results.

Responsibilities

• Identify resource requirements across business groups.
• Analyze production and operational KPIs vs productivity targets.
• Prepare financial analyses to inform operational decisions.
• Coordinate with supply chain to track financial obligations as we scale.
• Collaborate with accounting for financial close and reporting.
• Provide insights on spending variances to partners.
• Coordinate capex tracking and cash forecasts.
• Provide financial analysis and support for business initiatives.
• Manage and develop a team of financial analysts.
