Job summary

Smalls is a premium DTC cat food and lifestyle brand seeking a Financial Analyst to sit at the intersection of finance and operations. You’ll own the recurring FP&A engine, lead budgeting and re-forecast cycles, and partner with cross-functional teams to turn strategy into numbers.

You’ll join a lean finance group focused on data-driven decisions, with growth toward Senior Analyst as you deepen forecasting and reporting capabilities across the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, accounting, or a related analytical role.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; able to build a forecast and variance analysis from scratch.
• Solid grasp of the three financial statements and their drivers.
• Ability to connect operational KPIs to financial line items.
• Strong communicator who can explain variances to non-finance stakeholders and partner with Operations.

Responsibilities

• Own the recurring FP&A engine end to end, including budgeting and in-year re-forecast cycles.
• Produce financial models, variance analysis, and coordinating accruals with cross-functional partners.
• Build out automated FP&A reporting and processes, leveraging AI tools or FP&A software.
