Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Financial Analyst III to support FP&A cycles, build driver-based models, and deliver high-quality forecasts. You will automate analyses with AI tools, reconcile data from source systems, and provide dashboards and insights to leadership.

Relocation assistance is provided and on-site work is required. Ideal candidates have 5–7 years in FP&A or related finance roles, strong GAAP knowledge, and fluency in SQL plus Excel/Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, engineering, or another analytical field.
• 5-7 years in FP&A, corporate finance, or ops finance, including recurring forecast/budget cycles.
• Strong financial modeling fundamentals: 3-statement mechanics and driver-based forecasting.
• Working GAAP foundation to read financials and link forecast to actuals.
• Ability to connect transaction data to the full financial picture and explain to leadership.
• SQL fluency with modern data platforms for routine pulls.
• Expert-level proficiency in analytics tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
• Track record of reusable, documented analytical assets.
• Proven solo contributor in ambiguous, evolving environments.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly forecast, quarterly reforecast, and annual plan for an area; provide variance analysis and leadership commentary.
• Build and maintain financial models linking drivers to P&L, headcount, and cash impact.
• Create dashboards and analyses to close gaps in understanding of performance; enable self-service.
• Apply AI tooling to automate recurring analysis with validated controls.
• Reconcile data from source systems and collaborate with data engineering as needed.
• Connect transaction data to program and company-level outcomes; explain movements to leadership.
• Identify gaps in data quality, coverage, and processes; fix at the source.
• Produce reusable analytical assets (models, queries, dashboards) relied on by others.
