Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Financial Analyst II to support planning, forecasting, and decision support for the New Glenn finance team. You will turn operational and financial data into insights, build transparent models, and communicate findings to leaders.

The role emphasizes on-site work with relocation assistance, cross-functional collaboration, and advanced Excel/SQL skills to drive accurate forecasts and strategic actions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, engineering, data analytics, or another highly analytical field.
  • 2+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, program finance, operations finance, or a related analytical role.
  • Demonstrated analytical depth: define questions, structure analysis, test assumptions, reconcile data, deliver credible answers.
  • Strong financial modeling fundamentals: driver-based forecasting, scenario and sensitivity analysis, clear linkage between assumptions and outputs.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with visualization or analytics platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Working SQL proficiency for routine data pulls and validations.
  • Working GAAP foundation to connect forecast to actuals and collaborate with accounting on close and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

  • Support recurring FP&A cycles including monthly forecasts, reforecasts, and annual operating plan for assigned New Glenn area.
  • Perform variance and trend analyses; trace results to drivers and identify risks, opportunities, and actions.
  • Build and maintain driver-based financial models translating inputs into P&L, headcount, cash, and capex impacts.
  • Query, reconcile, and validate data from ERP and data platforms; resolve conflicting signals and maintain traceability.
  • Develop dashboards and recurring reporting to improve self-service and highlight key drivers.
  • Deliver scenario, sensitivity, and ad-hoc analyses for resource decisions and cost actions.
  • Apply AI/workflow automation to recurring analyses with documented logic and validation.
  • Collaborate with finance, accounting, operations, engineering, supply chain, and data teams to improve data quality and close process gaps.
