Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle is seeking a Financial Analyst II to support planning, forecasting, and decision support for the New Glenn program. You will turn operational data into insights, build transparent models, and partner with finance, operations, engineering, and data teams to drive action.

This on-site role requires a strong GAAP foundation, advanced Excel skills, and experience with SQL and BI tools (Power BI or Tableau).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a highly analytical field.
• Strong analytical depth with ability to structure and test analyses.
• Proven financial modeling fundamentals and driver-based forecasting.
• Advanced Excel and experience with BI visualization platforms.
• SQL proficiency for data pulls and validation; GAAP fundamentals.
• Clear communication of findings to finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support FP&A cycles: monthly forecasts, quarterly reforecasts, and annual operating plan for a New Glenn business area.
• Perform variance and trend analyses; link results to drivers and identify risks and actions.
• Build driver-based financial models translating inputs into P&L, headcount, cash, and capex effects.
• Query and reconcile data from ERP and data platforms; ensure data integrity from source to leadership.
• Develop dashboards and recurring reports to improve self-service and visibility of drivers.
• Deliver scenario, sensitivity, and ad-hoc analyses for resource decisions and costs.
• Apply AI/workflow automation with proper controls to recurring analyses.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, engineering, supply chain, and data teams to raise data quality.
