Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle is seeking an analytical Financial Analyst II to support company-wide FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. This role helps leadership with clear financial insights and drives improvements in financial performance.

We require a Bachelor's in Finance or related field, 2+ years of FP&A experience, strong Excel and SQL/Python, and the ability to collaborate across functions. On-site work is required with relocation support and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
• 2+ years of FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, consulting, or related field.
• Strong Excel skills with knowledge around SQL or Python.
• Strong understanding of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in budgeting and forecasting for corporate functions and/or business units.
• Update financial models with latest actuals, assumptions, and inputs.
• Support scenario analysis and sensitivity testing on revenue, margin, and cost drivers.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports comparing actuals vs. budget/forecast.
• Explain variances through data analysis with functional leaders and create standard reporting packages.
• Analyze trends in revenue, expenses, headcount, and KPIs; support ad hoc analyses.
• Assist in building and maintaining driver-based financial models.
• Support month-end close with Accounting and materials for executive reviews; contribute to FP&A process improvements.
