Job summary

Blue Origin in Seattle, WA is seeking a Financial Analyst II to support planning, forecasting, and decision support within the New Glenn Finance team. You’ll turn operational and financial data into clear insights, build transparent models, and work from source data to leadership narratives using Excel, SQL, BI tools, and AI-assisted workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, engineering, data analytics, or another analytical field.
• 3+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, program finance, or related analytical role.
• Strong modeling, forecasting, and data interpretation skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and at least one visualization platform (Power BI/Tableau).
• Knowledge of GAAP and ability to connect forecast to actuals with accounting.

Responsibilities

• Support FP&A cycles: monthly forecasts, quarterly reforecasts, annual plan.
• Perform variance and trend analysis, link drivers to performance.
• Build driver-based financial models for P&L, headcount, cash, and capex.
• Query and reconcile data from ERP and data platforms; ensure data integrity.
• Develop dashboards and recurring reports to improve self-service and visibility.
• Deliver scenario, sensitivity, and ad-hoc analyses for decisions.
• Apply AI/workflow automation with documented logic and validation.
• Partner with finance, accounting, operations, engineering, supply chain, and data teams.
