GrayMatter is seeking a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join our Finance team in Pittsburgh. The role supports forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and analysis across the organization, partnering with Accounting, Project Managers, and business leaders to monitor performance and provide actionable insights.

This is an early-career opportunity in a project-based environment with hands-on financial modeling and cross-functional collaboration in a hybrid work setup.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 2–3 years of FP&A, accounting, or financial analysis.
• Strong Excel skills with lookups, SUMIFS, pivots, and modeling.
• Familiarity with Power BI or similar tools.
• Understanding of financial statements and reporting.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Support monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes; gather inputs and validate accuracy.
• Maintain project-level revenue, cost, margin, and cash flow forecasts.
• Prepare and analyze budget-to-actual and forecast-to-forecast variances; communicate findings.
• Reconcile forecasts with the general ledger and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor project resource plans and labor costs for accurate projections.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance metrics for leadership.
• Assist with month-end close activities and project financial analysis.
• Partner with cross-functional teams on pricing analysis and scenario modeling.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial models, data accuracy, and documentation.
