Job summary

GrayMatter seeks a Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A in Pittsburgh (Hybrid) to own FP&A reporting, dashboards, and data models. You will integrate data from ERP/CRM systems and produce executive dashboards covering bookings, forecasts, margins, and performance.

You will drive automation of monthly close, budgeting, and forecasting processes while mentoring junior analysts. Strong Power BI, DAX, and data modeling skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required.
• 5+ years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance, or financial analytics experience.
• Advanced expertise in Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and performance optimization.
• Experience integrating and modeling data from multiple financial and operational systems.
• Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex financial insights clearly to senior leadership.
• Strong business acumen and cross-functional partnership skills.
• Experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, development, and maintenance of FP&A Power BI dashboards, data models, and reporting architecture.
• Develop scalable financial and operational data models integrating multiple enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, FP&A tools).
• Produce executive-level dashboards covering financial performance, margins, utilization, backlog, bookings, and forecasts.
• Drive automation and standardization of recurring FP&A reporting to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Support monthly close, variance analysis, and performance reviews in partnership with Finance and Accounting.
• Support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning through advanced analytics and modeling.
• Translate business questions into structured analytical solutions and communicate insights to senior leadership.
• Ensure data integrity, governance, and performance optimization across Power BI solutions.
• Execute against the FP&A analytics strategy and reporting roadmap supporting system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Establish best practices and documentation standards; mentor analysts on analytics and reporting.
