Life Fitness / Hammer Strength in Owatonna, MN is seeking a Machine Operator to set up and run a range of production equipment for premium fitness components. You will perform simple setups, operate punches, shears, drills, and related machinery while ensuring parts meet mechanical tolerances and specs.

This full-time role features a four-day workweek (Mon-Thu, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM), overtime opportunities, and an on-site fitness center.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and comfort with hands-on work.
• Commitment to working safely.
• Ability to operate hand tools, gauges, torque wrenches, and production equipment.
• Ability to read measurements.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow safety procedures, work instructions, and production documentation in English.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical/trade school training in metal fabrication.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Knowledge of inspection equipment (calipers, gauges, protractors, tape measure).
• Working knowledge of metalworking.
• 1 year of experience in a production environment.

Responsabilités

• Perform simple setups and operate equipment such as manual punch press, shears, saws, drill press, timesaver, wash, and tumbler.
• Inspect parts to verify mechanical tolerances and engineering specifications.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and keep a clean work area.
• Complete required documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
