Job summary

Life Fitness / Hammer Strength is seeking a production technician to perform simple machine setups and operate equipment used in manufacturing. You will inspect parts, ensure tolerances, and maintain a clean, safe work area while documenting work performed.

The role requires basic mechanical aptitude, safety awareness, ability to read measurements, and familiarity with hand tools. Prior experience in production and blueprint reading is beneficial, with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude
• Understanding of safety
• Ability to operate hand tools, gauges, torque wrenches and equipment necessary for production
• Ability to read measurements
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Technical/trade school in metal fabrication preferred
• Ability to read blueprints preferred
• Knowledge and use of inspection equipment (calipers, gauges, protractors and tape measure) preferred
• Working knowledge of metal working preferred
• 1 year of experience in a production environment preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform simple machine set-ups. Operates assigned machines as described above.
• Perform inspections on parts to ensure they meet mechanical tolerances and engineering specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance to equipment and maintain a clean working environment.
• Complete required documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
