Job summary

Precision Castparts is seeking a weld technician to perform welding assignments on a variety of cast parts in a safety-focused environment. You will read and follow instructions, set up equipment, and ensure tolerances are met through accurate measurement.

The role requires basic math, the ability to lift 25-35 pounds, and adherence to safety and housekeeping standards on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Proficient in basic mathematical calculations.
• Maintain order and chain of custody on shell molds.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or maneuver objects weighing 25-35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform welding assignments on a diverse line of cast parts.
• Set up, adjust and operate welding equipment per safety rules and procedures.
• Accurately inspect and measure parts to ensure tolerance compliance.
• Follow established housekeeping and safety practices at the workstation.
• Record and document welds, logs and part counts as required.
