Job summary

Asama Coldwater Manufacturing is seeking a Foundry Production Manager in Coldwater, MI to lead a high-performance casting operation from melting to finishing. You will manage supervisors and hourly teams to drive safety, quality, productivity, and profitability in a hands-on leadership role.

The role requires foundry manufacturing experience, strong leadership, and expertise in production planning, scheduling, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Previous foundry manufacturing experience.
Manufacturing leadership experience managing production teams.
Strong knowledge of production planning and scheduling.
Experience improving productivity and operational performance.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Lead daily and weekly production to meet customer demand.
Supervise and develop production supervisors and hourly employees.
Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
Reduce scrap and improve first-pass quality.
Monitor production KPIs, labor efficiency, and throughput.
Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives including 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement.
Foster a culture focused on safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
Partner with Maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
Collaborate with Quality to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Manage raw material utilization and production efficiency.
Analyze production performance and communicate results to leadership.
