Asama Coldwater Manufacturing is seeking a Foundry Production Manager in Coldwater, MI to lead a high-performance casting operation from melting to finishing. You will manage supervisors and hourly teams to drive safety, quality, productivity, and profitability in a hands-on leadership role.

The role requires foundry manufacturing experience, strong leadership, and expertise in production planning, scheduling, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Previous foundry manufacturing experience.
• Manufacturing leadership experience managing production teams.
• Strong knowledge of production planning and scheduling.
• Experience improving productivity and operational performance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily and weekly production to meet customer demand.
• Supervise and develop production supervisors and hourly employees.
• Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Reduce scrap and improve first-pass quality.
• Monitor production KPIs, labor efficiency, and throughput.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives including 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement.
• Foster a culture focused on safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
• Partner with Maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Collaborate with Quality to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Manage raw material utilization and production efficiency.
• Analyze production performance and communicate results to leadership.
