Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a visionary engineer to join the Foundry Product Engineering team at the intersection of fabrication and customer application. You will oversee margins and wafer sort evaluations to ensure seamless transfer of advanced process technologies from fab to market.

You will architect failure analysis workflows and yield-learning models, turning complex data into countermeasures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Foundational knowledge in Semiconductor/Device Physics & Circuit Fundamentals; understanding of ATE fundamentals and test methodology (Wafer Sort, DFT, EFA, Characterization, Shmoo).
• Statistical Analysis & Data Literacy (Statistics, STDF / Parametric data analysis, CPK, JMP/Spotfire or similar).
• Structured Debug & Root-Cause Troubleshooting Mindset (Build Yield learning model, differentiate failure as test or process margin or defect).
• Cross-Functional Communication & Technical Ownership (data driven, actionable feedback to internal teams).

Responsibilities

• Leading edge product & technology development based on Samsung’s innovative process.

• Collaborate with internal teams to successfully launch new products for customers.
• Leverage wafer sort (CP) data, wafer acceptance test (WAT) data, fabrication process, design rule, and product ATE knowledge to rapidly isolate root causes and resolve complex silicon issues.
