Bingham & Taylor seeks an Operations Manager to lead our foundry operations and drive lean improvements. The role focuses on safety, quality, and delivering on strategic goals while developing a strong, high-performing team.

Based in Honolulu, Hawaii, this position requires a BS in engineering or related field and a minimum of five years in manufacturing with foundry experience preferred. You'll report to the Plant Manager and guide cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering or related field is required.
• Experience leading manufacturing/ foundry operations with lean practices.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and continuous improvement methods.

Responsibilities

• Safety and Quality: drive zero-incident safety and quality through human-performance practices.
• Strategic Goals: partner with Plant Manager to set and achieve key objectives.
• Staff Management: recruit, train, and appraise staff while fostering lean culture.
• Operational Strategies: align objectives with goals and monitor KPIs.
• Continuous Improvement: lead team-based problem solving and lean initiatives.
• Financial Planning: own KPIs and support cost reduction and accountability.
• Process Operation: set conditions for foundry equipment ensuring safety and quality.
• Performance Monitoring: deploy KPIs to improve productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Resource Management: manage procurement, inventory and cost controls.
• Inter-Departmental Coordination: ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
• Furnace Maintenance: coordinate with Maintenance on furnace relining and upkeep.
• Professional Development: lead learning and development for team members.
