Job summary

Jobot is seeking a dynamic Director of Manufacturing (Foundry/Metals) to lead its operations in heavy manufacturing. This permanent role oversees all manufacturing functions, drives productivity, quality, and compliance, and guides strategic direction for operational success.

The ideal candidate has a strong track record in senior operations, strategic planning, and team leadership, with a high focus on cost control and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior operations role within the manufacturing industry.
• Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and business development.
• Proven track record of managing complex manufacturing operations and driving operational excellence.
• Strong leadership skills with an ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on practical business impact.
• Solid understanding of industry-specific regulations and standards.
• Proficient in relevant manufacturing technologies and systems.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in managing operational budgets.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the operations of all manufacturing departments to ensure production meets deadlines, standards and cost targets.
• Develop and implement strategic operational goals and monitor achievement of these goals, making adjustments as needed.
• Ensure that all manufacturing processes and operations comply with health, safety and environmental regulations and standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, improve quality, and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless production workflow and timely product delivery.
• Develop and manage the operations budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
• Implement and maintain quality control programs, ensuring products meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Evaluate and manage vendor relationships to ensure consistent supply of necessary materials and equipment.
• Regularly report on operational performance to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
