Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Metallurgical Engineer for a hands-on shop floor role in a precision foundry. You will develop and improve foundry processes, manage projects, and drive productivity and quality in a manufacturing environment.

MAGMASOFT experience is valued, and you will work on initiatives that impact aerospace and defense-quality casting. A strong background in mechanical/industrial engineering and 5+ years foundry experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in a foundry environment with process capabilities and control experience.
• Experience with project management in manufacturing.
• Strong CAD proficiency and foundry operations knowledge.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage foundry processes to optimize productivity, efficiency, and quality.
• Utilize process capabilities and process control to maintain manufacturing integrity.
• Design and implement rigging and fixture designs to enhance operations.
• Oversee project management from inception to completion.
• Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot foundry issues and challenges.
• Ensure all foundry operations comply with health and safety regulations.
• Conduct audits and inspections to maintain machinery and equipment.
• Provide technical guidance to the foundry team and promote continuous improvement.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in foundry operations.
