Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Metallurgical Engineer for a hands-on, shop-floor role in Austin, TX. This permanent position focuses on developing and improving foundry processes, ensuring quality control, and leading projects that boost productivity in aluminum and magnesium casting operations.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams on process capabilities, rigging and fixture design, and safety compliance, with opportunities to influence the manufacturing lifecycle from start to finish.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in a foundry environment focusing on process capabilities and process control.
• Experience in rigging and fixture design.
• Experience in project management within the manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage foundry processes to optimize productivity, efficiency, and quality.
• Utilize process capabilities and process control to monitor and maintain the integrity of the manufacturing process.
• Design and implement rigging and fixture designs to enhance operational effectiveness.
• Oversee project management, including planning, coordinating, and monitoring projects from inception to completion.
• Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot foundry issues and ensure health and safety compliance.
