Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Metallurgical Engineer for a hands-on shop floor role in Dallas, TX. The engineer will develop and improve foundry processes, ensure quality control, and lead projects to boost efficiency and productivity in a precision aluminum and magnesium casting operation.

The ideal candidate has a Mechanical Engineering background with at least five years in a foundry, strong CAD skills, and project management experience, as well as a continuous improvement mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in a foundry environment.
• Experience with process capabilities and process control.
• Project management experience.
• Proficient in CAD-based design.
• Strong understanding of health, safety and quality standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of rigging and fixture design is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage foundry processes to boost productivity, efficiency, and quality.
• Apply process capabilities and control to maintain process integrity.
• Design and implement rigging and fixture designs to improve operations.
• Oversee projects from inception to completion.
• Collaborate with teams to troubleshoot complex foundry issues.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
