Eaton’s EPG CHD EP Americas division is seeking a Furnace Operator for Melt 2nd Shift in the United States. The role focuses on melt deck and pouring operations to ensure reliable metal casting, with responsibilities for furnace charging, pouring controls, and maintaining equipment for mold production.

Qualifications include 6 months in manufacturing, a high school diploma or GED, and ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience in a manufacturing setting
• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the location will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties associated with furnace, Junker, auto pour, and metal operations to support mold production and report issues to supervision
• Charge furnaces using overhead crane and regulate power supply for furnaces
• Perform temperature and chemical tests as required and initiate any needed actions; pre-heat delivery ladles and operate pouring controls
• Perform maintenance on electric furnaces, ladles, and pre-heaters including use of jackhammer up to 90 pounds
• Manage Junker pouring controls and calculate ratios/percentages for additives
• Monitor control panels and adjust as needed
• Perform utility functions and 5-S program implementation and area cleaning
• Perform recordkeeping duties and operates instruments
• Perform other duties as assigned throughout the facility
