Job summary

ELLWOOD Group Inc in Minnesota is seeking a Crew Member of Casting Production to work with the casting of molten iron into EEC sand molds. The role includes prep of sand molds, temperature checks, and operating the pouring process while ensuring strict PPE adherence on a night shift.

Read blueprints and spec sheets, inspect molds, take samples, log data, and perform related duties. High school diploma or GED required; must lift 30–60 pounds and tolerate overtime and heat.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read blueprints and spec sheets.
• Must pass physical requirements and lift 30–60 pounds.
• Must be able to work mandatory overtime and night shifts.
• Ability to train and receive crane certification.
• Must be able to work around heat and hot metal temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand blueprints and spec sheets.
• Inspect and sweep out molds.
• Use ladle to extract hot metal from the torpedo.
• Check temperatures of Iron.
• Pour iron, skim slag off the top as the flask fills.
• Add compound to top of iron to assure liquidity of iron.
• Take samples of iron and record data on cast sheet.
• Perform additional duties as necessary within the department.
• Adhere to housekeeping and safety standards, PPE required.
