Job summary

Gupta Permold Corp in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a reliable Foundry Mechanic for the 3rd shift (11:30pm–8:00am) with no weekend work. You will set up, maintain and troubleshoot foundry tooling, including 2-piece core/cavity and ejection pins.

Join a world-class aluminum foundry using permanent mold processes. Responsibilities include mold setup, routine machine maintenance, safety compliance, and working with coworkers to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

Full Time | 3rd Shift (11:30pm – 8:00am) | No weekends

Summary:

We are seeking a reliable Foundry Mechanic person to join our team on 3rd shift, to set-up, maintain, and troubleshoot foundry tooling, generally 2-piece core/cavity + ejection pins.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Set up of molds and related equipment for production, usually involves replacing worn ejection pins or drilling out clogged vents, and testing ejection function.
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including:
• Bearings and bushings
• Hydraulic lines
• Fasteners such as bolts
• Replace worn or damaged components as needed
• Use hand tools and shop equipment safely and effectively (drills, grinders, torch)
• Inspect equipment to identify issues and prevent downtime
• Follow all plant safety procedures, PPE requirements, and lockout/tagout guidelines
• Work cooperatively with coworkers and supervisors

Requirements:

• Driver’s License & Reliable Transportation
• Must be over 18 at the time of hire
