Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Set up molds and related equipment for production, replacing worn ejection pins, drilling out clogged vents, and testing ejection function.
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including bearings, bushings, hydraulic lines and fasteners.
• Replace worn or damaged components as needed and maintain equipment.
• Use hand tools and shop equipment safely and effectively (drills, grinders, torches).
• Follow plant safety procedures, PPE requirements, and lockout/tagout guidelines.

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a reliable Industrial Mechanic to join their team on 3rd shift. This position is responsible for setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting foundry tooling, generally involving 2-piece core/cavity molds and ejection pins.

Training will be provided on foundry and other specific equipment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Set up molds and related equipment for production, usually involving replacing worn ejection pins, drilling out clogged vents, and testing ejection function.
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including:
• Bearings and bushings
• Hydraulic lines
• Fasteners such as bolts
• Replace worn or damaged components as needed.
• Use hand tools and shop equipment safely and effectively, including drills, grinders, and torches.
• Inspect equipment to identify issues and help prevent downtime.
• Follow all plant safety procedures, PPE requirements, and lockout/tagout guidelines.
• Work cooperatively with coworkers and supervisors.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must be over 18 at the time of hire.
