Job summary

Gupta Permold Corp in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a reliable Foundry Mechanic for the 3rd shift (11:30pm–8:00am) with no weekend work. You will set up, maintain and troubleshoot foundry tooling, including 2-piece core/cavity and ejection pins.

Join a world-class aluminum foundry using permanent mold processes. Responsibilities include mold setup, routine machine maintenance, safety compliance, and working with coworkers to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting required.
• Experience with hand tools, drills, grinders and torches.
• Ability to perform maintenance on industrial equipment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Set up molds and related equipment for production.
• Replace worn ejection pins or drill out clogged vents.
• Test ejection function.
• Perform routine machinery maintenance including bearings, bushings, hydraulic lines.
• Inspect equipment to prevent downtime.
• Follow plant safety procedures and lockout/tagout guidelines.
