Job summary

Mueller Water Products seeks a 2nd shift Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our brand new state of the art foundry in Decatur, IL. The role focuses on installation, repair, removal and rebuilding of foundry machinery and related equipment.

Applicants must have 4 years verifiable maintenance experience and/or schooling equivalent, with duties including furnace relining, blueprints reading, and welding as required. Overtime is mandatory, and safety PPE is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Ability to sit, stand, twist, turn, lift and perform all duties as required of the job.

Responsibilities

• Reline furnaces as required.
• Read, interpret and work from blueprints, layouts, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams. Make sketches and rough blueprints as required.
• Skillfully set up and operate a variety of machine tools used in the performance of their duties.
• Make repair parts as required in the performance of their duties.
• Layout, set up, and perform all acetylene or electric welding and cutting operations as required.
• Install repair, maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Perform plumbing and boiler repairs as needed.
