Job summary

Mueller Water Products seeks a 2nd shift Mechanical Maintenance Technician for our brand new, state-of-the-art foundry in Decatur, IL. This role involves installation, repair, removal and rebuilding of foundry machinery and equipment, along with building and grounds repairs.

Applicants must have 4 years verifiable maintenance experience and/or schooling equivalent. You will read blueprints and diagrams, weld as needed, and maintain hydraulic/pneumatic systems while following safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• 4 years verifiable maintenance experience or schooling equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Reline furnaces as required.
• Read, interpret and work from blueprints, layouts, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams.
• Set up and operate machine tools as required.
• Repair parts and assemble as needed.
• Perform welding and cutting operations (acetylene or electric).
• Install and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Plumbing and boiler repairs as needed.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and PPE.
