Job summary

Lilly is seeking a Manufacturing Scientist/Engineer – Technical Operations to support and potentially execute on shift operations on the Lilly Medicines Foundry floor in Lebanon, Indiana. The role emphasizes technical operations, process transfers, and collaboration with Process Engineering, PTE, and PRD to deliver safe, compliant manufacturing for Small Molecule, Biologics, or Mixed Modalities.

Initial duties include equipment qualification support, SAT, and developing SOPs and training plans;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate's Degree in science or engineering, or technical field; HS Diploma/GED with 5+ years of pharma manufacturing experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.
• Experience with cGMP and quality/regulatory requirements is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on‑floor shift support for operations staff and process transfer activities.
• Evaluate processes and deviations real‑time; provide assessments to cross‑functional teams.
• Lead equipment commissioning, qualification testing, and validation under guidance.
• Document production with batch records and SOPs, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Support safety, quality investigations, and incident reporting; lead investigations as needed.
• Collaborate with PE, PTE, PRD, HSE and QA to ensure successful technology transfer.
• Plan changeovers and campaigns, including cleaning, piping, and equipment setup.
