Job summary

Palmer Foundry is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to support reliability, availability, and continuous improvement of foundry equipment and facility systems. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial).
• Equivalent combination of education and significant industrial maintenance experience may be considered.
• 3–7 years of maintenance, reliability, or equipment engineering experience in an industrial setting.
• Experience in foundry, metalworking, aerospace, automotive, heavy manufacturing, or similar environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs for production equipment and facility systems.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and diagnose foundry equipment including furnaces, molding machines, sand systems, and related production equipment.
• Provide technical support for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, combustion, and controls-related issues.
• Lead Root-Cause Analysis (RCA) of significant equipment failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Monitor MTBF, MTTR, downtime, and maintenance KPIs to identify improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate onboarding with Engineering and OEMs for new equipment and PP schedule adherence.
• Coordinate planned shutdowns, major repairs, equipment rebuilds, and capital projects.
• Develop scopes of work, project schedules, cost estimates, and implementation plans.
• Manage spare-parts requirements, inventory, vendors, and CMMS entries.
• Maintain equipment records, history, work orders, PM procedures, and spare-part data in CMMS.
• Work with Production, Quality, Engineering, and EHS to maintain safe, reliable operations.
• Support equipment modifications and process improvements with safety and production needs in mind.
• Assist in evaluating new or replacement manufacturing equipment.
