The position requires reading and following work instructions, operating various machines, and handling molds with attention to quality and efficiency. A high school diploma or GED is required, with 6+ months of manufacturing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to safely use small hand and power tools.
• Must read and interpret work instructions and communicate with supervisor about processes.
• Must have ability to operate a variety of machinery.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machinery with hand tools as needed.
• Select correct pattern for each order.
• Prepare molds and repair mold impressions in sand as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment per procedures and rules.
• Assist in training others on machine operator tasks as needed.
• Inspect work for defects before passing to next operation.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Report production quantities and times for each work order.
• Report worn pattern equipment to supervisors.
