Job summary

Metal Technologies is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on plant equipment including molding machines and pumps. The role requires troubleshooting and preventive maintenance, reading schematics, and operating tools to support foundry operations.

New weekend rotation with every other weekend off, third shift available with premium pay. Educational reimbursement and on-the-job training are offered along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Three or more years in industrial maintenance.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
• Journeyman status or related industrial maintenance coursework preferred.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair foundry electrical systems and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance per program.
• Operate hand and power tools to perform repairs.
• Install machinery and electrical systems to support foundry equipment.
• Read schematics, blueprints and manuals to perform work.
• Move containers and materials with a forklift as needed.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Comply with safety and PPE requirements.

General Summary:

Performs a variety of mechanical and electrical maintenance and repair work on plant equipment including Disamatic molding machines, shot blast machines, furnaces, pumps, fans, gear boxes, shafts, belts, water and air lines, valves, motors, electrical panels, generators, etc.

Essential Functions:

• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair foundry related electrical systems and equipment.


• Performs preventive maintenance in accordance with required program.


• Operates a variety of standard hand tools and power tools (drills, lathes, grinders, saws, etc.) and other related equipment (welding) to make necessary repairs.


• Install machinery and electrical systems to support a variety of foundry related equipment.


• Read and understand schematics, blueprints, manuals, etc. to perform required work.


• Transfers containers and other material with fork lift as needed within compliance of work instructions.


• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.


• Employee must supply own common tools. Specific tools will be supplied by the Company.


• Comply with all safety and PPE requirements as identified in plant protocols.


• May be assigned other duties as needed.

Experience Required

• Minimum of three (3) years Industrial Maintenance experience required.

Education, Training & Skills

• Ability to effectively organize multiple tasks.


• Industrial Maintenance Technology courses/Journeyman highly desired.
