Job summary

General Motors in Warren, MI seeks a Foundry Equipment Engineering Supervisor to lead design, procurement, installation, and support of foundry and launch equipment for major vehicle programs. You will develop SORs, review supplier concepts, and drive safety, timing, and quality across teams.

The role requires strong project management, collaboration with plant leadership and HQ engineering, and frequent travel for installations and risk assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years purchasing, specifying, launching, or supporting high-volume manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge of manufacturing operations, processes, and industry best practices.
• Technical knowledge and experience in process engineering disciplines.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written).

Responsibilities

• Lead teams designing, specifying, procuring, and launching foundry equipment for new and major programs.
• Develop Statements of Requirements (SORs) that meet process and manufacturing requirements.
• Review supplier proposals for technical concepts, equipment design, and specifications.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers, engineering disciplines, plant teams, and leadership.
• Lead equipment design reviews and ensure alignment with safety, timing, and quality.
• Develop and manage project timing in Microsoft Project and integrate with MasterDot.
• Drive continuous improvement in quality, cost, productivity, and safety.
