Job summary

General Motors in Warren/Saginaw areas is seeking an Engineering Supervisor for Foundry Equipment. You will lead design, specification, procurement, installation, and launch of foundry equipment for major vehicle programs, partnering with suppliers and internal teams to deliver safe, cost-effective solutions.

The role requires 5+ years in high-volume manufacturing equipment and strong project management, with experience using MS Project and MasterDot.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field; equivalent experience.
• At least five years of experience purchasing, specifying, launching, or supporting high-volume manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge of manufacturing operations, engineering processes, and industry best practices.
• Experience with Microsoft Project and MasterDot for scheduling.
• Strong communication and ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams responsible for designing, specifying, procuring, and launching foundry equipment for new and major programs.
• Develop Statements of Requirements (SORs) meeting process and manufacturing needs.
• Review supplier proposals and ensure specifications compliance.
• Conduct equipment safety risk assessments and support safety validation activities.
• Manage multiple projects and align with program timing and budgets.
