Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, NM seeks an Engineering Technologist 1/2 to repair, maintain, and upgrade electro-mechanical systems such as induction heating, vacuum pumps, cooling skids, RF, and high voltage equipment.

The role emphasizes preventive/predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordination with cross-functional teams, with opportunities to lead maintenance planning and implement new equipment with Process Engineers.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, and enhance electro-mechanical equipment, including induction heating, vacuum pumps, cooling skids, RF systems, and high voltage equipment.
• Support and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs; troubleshoot equipment to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate programmatic maintenance with cross-functional teams; perform corrective maintenance on down equipment.
• Assist in planning, procurement, and implementation of new equipment with Process Engineers.
• Develop and maintain safety, security, compliance, and scheduling standards.
• Prepare and document work authorizations for operational and project activities.
