Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory is seeking Engineering Technologists (Level 3/4) to apply engineering, mathematics, and science to solve technical problems and support projects in the Plutonium Facilities Engineering Division. Responsibilities include facility design, operation, maintenance, and research-based engineering, with safety and security as top priorities.

Level 4 adds mentorship, leadership, and independent execution of complex phases of engineering work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, science, math or related field.
• 8+ years directly related experience for lower level or 12+ years for higher level.
• Experience with CAD tools and engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering, math, and science principles to solve technical problems.
• Plan and execute complex assignments requiring initiative and judgment.
• Design, operate, maintain, and improve facilities and systems; ensure safety and security compliance.
