Job summary

Skydio is seeking a senior engineer to own data security and access across the company. You’ll implement Foundry-based access controls, work with Workday and Okta, and ensure compliance with data protection policies.

You will report to the head of the Business Data Platform and partner with IT and Security on policies and tooling. You’ll lead cross-functional data governance, administer Foundry roles, and ensure sensitive data is protected while enabling productive access for teams in Finance,

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data platform, data security, or infrastructure engineering.
• Ownership of access control on a data platform such as Foundry, Databricks, or Snowflake.
• Experience provisioning groups from HR systems and identity providers.
• Experience with row- and column-level security, masking, and redaction.
• Understanding of SAML, SCIM, SSO, Okta, and network egress controls.

Responsibilities

• Build Foundry access model with org-chart team groups and data-access roles.
• Collaborate with IT and Security on Okta groups, SSO, and egress policies.
• Keep Foundry in parity with source systems to prevent widened access.
• Protect sensitive and export-controlled data with Foundry Markings and security policies.
• Administer Foundry daily tasks and provide audit-ready access evidence.
• Coordinate with AI infrastructure engineers on data access for AI tools.
• Lead our cross-functional Data Council on data sharing and protection standards.
