Nscale is seeking a Foundry Engineering Lead to serve as the technical authority for its Foundry platform. You will design, implement, and govern data infrastructure, mentoring engineers and aligning with business roadmaps.

The role blends hands-on engineering with technical leadership and requires driving architectural decisions, scalable data pipelines, and governance across projects. Based in New York with multi-site responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Deep hands-on Palantir Foundry expertise including ontology modelling and data architecture.
• Strong Python data engineering experience with large datasets.
• Experience mentoring engineers and driving standards in a data engineering context.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of Nscale's Foundry implementation, ensuring scalability, security, and long-term data integrity.
• Define the technical strategy for Foundry development, aligning with business objectives and data roadmap.
• Act as the technical authority on Foundry across the organisation, setting standards and owning platform evolution.
• Mentor engineers and analysts, raising technical capability and quality across the team.
• Build scalable data pipelines ingesting data from multiple sources and systems.
• Define data models, schemas, and ontology structures supporting operational workflows.
• Implement permissions, governance, and data quality checks.
