Job summary

Skydio, the leading US drone company, is seeking a senior data platform engineer to own data security and access across Foundry. You will design groups, roles, and policies provisioned from Workday/Okta, and collaborate with IT on identity and network controls to enable safe data usage.

In this role you will manage day-to-day Foundry administration and lead cross-functional governance, ensuring audits are supported and access remains compliant. FAA Part 107 encouragement is highlighted.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data platform, data security, or infrastructure engineering.
• Experience provisioning groups from HR systems and identity providers like Workday and Okta.
• Production experience implementing row- and column-level security, masking and redaction, and classification-based policies.
• Strong SQL and Python, and ability to work with AI coding tools.
• Palantir Foundry experience strongly preferred, especially Markings and security policies.

Responsibilities

• Build Foundry access model with org-chart groups and data-access roles.
• Collaborate with IT on Okta groups, SSO, provisioning, and egress policies.
• Keep Foundry access parity with source systems.
• Protect sensitive data with Foundry Markings and security policies.
• Administer Foundry users, groups, roles, and access reviews with audit-ready evidence.
• Coordinate with AI infrastructure on data connections and access.
• Lead Data Council to set standards for data sharing and protection.
