Job summary

Skydio seeks a senior Data Platform Security Engineer to own access for the company. You will define access groups in Foundry, provision them from Workday via Okta, and work with IT on identity and network controls.

You will ensure data access is properly restricted and auditable while supporting AI and autonomous systems teams. You will lead governance with the Data Council and implement policy-based security across data platforms, including Palantir Foundry, Databricks Unity Catalog, and

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data platform, data security, or infrastructure engineering.
• Experience owning access control on a data platform such as Foundry, Databricks, or Snowflake.
• Experience provisioning groups from HR systems and identity providers (Workday/Okta).
• Experience with row- and column-level security, masking and redaction, and policy-based classification.
• Strong SQL and Python; ability to explain access decisions to business users.

Responsibilities

• Build Foundry access model with org-chart groups provisioned from Workday through Okta.
• Collaborate with IT/Security on Okta groups, SSO, SCIM provisioning, and egress policies.
• Keep Foundry in parity with source systems to prevent broader access.
• Protect sensitive data with Foundry Markings and security policies.
• Administer Foundry users, groups, roles, and perform access reviews with audit-ready evidence.
• Coordinate with AI infrastructure engineers on data access for AI tools.
