Job summary

Samsung Semiconductor in San Jose, CA seeks a Foundry Customer Quality & Reliability (Q&R) role to lead customer quality and reliability requirements across our foundry manufacturing services. You will coordinate with customers from tape-out to wafer delivery and partner with internal teams to resolve issues.

The role requires extensive experience in foundry reliability, QMS, and cross-functional collaboration, with strong communication skills and a proactive, innovative mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering, CS or related field with extensive experience.
• 8+ years in foundry reliability, including device/interconnect reliability.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) in fab environments.
• Strong communication across global teams.
• Ability to drive cross-functional groups to KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer quality and reliability requirements for foundry manufacturing services.
• Collaborate with customers to resolve quality issues from tape‑out to wafer delivery.
• Supervise and identify quality challenges, building strong customer relationships.
• Escalate customer issues to internal engineering, manufacturing, and executive stakeholders.
• Maintain relationships with design, development, quality, and reliability engineers.
• Collaborate on lessons learned and process improvements.
• Partner with stakeholders to enable solutions.
• Coordinate with Samsung Korea HQ for efficient communication with the customer.
• Track reliability expectations and qualification methodologies; inform internal teams.
