Job summary

LMI is seeking a Software Engineer to build operational applications and AI-enabled workflows for U.S. Army planning and decision‑making. You will develop with Palantir Foundry and modern tech, integrating data, conversational AI, and workflow automation to empower operational users.

This hands-on, full‑stack role collaborates with Army personnel, data engineers, and stakeholders to shape architecture, implementation, and delivery, prioritizing practical capabilities for operational problems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Four+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• Experience with full-stack development, backend services, and APIs.
• Experience with Palantir Foundry or enterprise data platforms.
• Proficiency in Python, Node.js, or C#.
• Familiarity with large language models and AI-enabled apps.
• Strong software engineering practices including testing and CI/CD.
• Experience with DoD or federal government customers; active Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain operational applications using Palantir Foundry and modern frameworks.
• Build user-facing interfaces, backend services, APIs, and integrations for workflows.
• Develop natural language interfaces to query enterprise data.
• Implement AI-enabled workflows and agent orchestration.
• Integrate applications with Foundry Ontology objects and actions.
• Ensure source traceability and data quality in information presented.
• Collaborate with operational users to gather requirements and feedback.
• Evaluate Palantir AIP capabilities and other approved AI tech.
• Apply best practices: testing, code reviews, security, CI/CD, monitoring.
• Collaborate with data engineers to access integrated data.
