Job summary

LMI is seeking a Software Engineer to develop operational applications and AI-enabled workflows supporting U.S. Army planning and decision‑making.

You will build applications using Palantir Foundry, deliver user interfaces, APIs, and integrations to empower operational users with trusted information. You will collaborate with Army personnel, data engineers, and stakeholders to design, prototype, and deliver practical capabilities that address real-world challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and React.
• Experience developing full‑stack applications, backend services, and APIs.
• Experience developing applications using Palantir Foundry or comparable enterprise data platforms.
• Proficiency in Python, Node.js, C#, or other modern backend technologies.
• Experience integrating data‑driven applications with enterprise services.
• Familiarity with large language models, conversational AI, or AI‑enabled development.
• Strong software engineering practices: testing, version control, and deployment.
• Experience supporting DoD or federal government customers.
• Active Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain operational applications using Palantir Foundry and modern frameworks.
• Build user-facing interfaces, backend services, APIs, and integrations for operational workflows.
• Develop conversational AI capabilities for querying enterprise information.
• Implement AI-enabled workflows, including agent orchestration and tool integration.
• Integrate applications with Foundry Ontology objects, relationships, and Actions.
• Present authoritative information with source traceability and data quality controls.
• Collaborate with operational users to gather requirements and feedback.
• Evaluate and integrate Palantir AIP capabilities and other approved AI technologies.
• Apply software engineering best practices: testing, code reviews, CI/CD, security, monitoring.
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure reliable data access.
