Job summary

JETSET Pilates is seeking a Founding General Manager to lead a new studio launch and establish operational excellence in Ann Arbor. You will recruit and develop the founding team, generate community excitement, and ensure a top-tier client experience during launch and ongoing operations.

Post-opening, you will drive membership growth, coach the team on sales, and maintain in-studio presence while building scalable systems for future growth.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of operations or general management experience, ideally in boutique fitness, hospitality, or luxury membership-model services.
• Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams — across multiple locations or in a pre-opening context.
• Entrepreneurial self-starter who takes initiative and thrives where the playbook is being written.
• Strong sales instincts with experience driving revenue targets and coaching others.
• Highly analytical, comfortable building reports and making data-driven decisions.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage competing priorities and maintain momentum.
• Outstanding communicator who connects with clients and team members.
• Hands-on fitness instruction or coaching experience is strongly preferred.
• Passion for community building within local wellness and hospitality scenes.

Responsibilities

• Launch the studio with ownership on launch readiness, operations, and vendor coordination.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop founding Instructor and Studio Lead teams.
• Build schedules, staffing plans, and operational workflows for opening and ongoing operations.
• Drive founding membership sales and execute pre-sale campaigns.
• Coach the team on consultative sales techniques and monitor launch KPIs.
• Partner with ownership on performance updates and process improvements.
• Support future studio openings as the brand grows.
• Maintain an exceptional client experience and a culture of hospitality.
