Job summary

Incident IQ is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer to join our Engineering team. This build-it-from-zero role defines reliability for production systems at startup speed, shaping observability and on-call practices across the org.

You will own the SRE stack, drive data-driven decisions, and collaborate with teams to ship reliable services quickly while balancing ownership and accountability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent with depth in OS, databases, and networking.
• Experience implementing SLI/SLO/error-budget models and observability tooling.
• 5+ years in an SRE/DevOps or production engineering role with proven delivery.

Responsibilities

• Define SLIs/SLOs and build Grafana dashboards; implement burn-rate alerts.
• Lead incident management practices including on-call training and incident command.
• Own observability stack end-to-end: metrics, logs, traces, RUM, synthetic checks.
• Partner with teams to refine SLIs/SLOs and coach teams on reliability practices.
• Automate routine operational work with infrastructure as code and tooling.
• Design and run load tests and chaos engineering to uncover weaknesses.
