Job summary

Zen Media & Optimum7 seeks a Founding Sales Manager (Player-Coach) to own revenue, close deals, and build a high-performing sales team. This fully remote role operates in the EST time zone and supports two brands focused on measurable results.

You will start by running the sales process yourself, then recruit and train Sales Closers and outbound SDRs to scale revenue, leveraging Salesforce and automated GTM workflows.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of B2B sales experience.
• At least 3 years in sales leadership.
• Experience hiring, training, coaching, and managing sales reps.
• Strong outbound prospecting and consultative selling skills.
• Negotiation and pipeline development expertise.
• Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM.
• Agency, professional services, or technology sales experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the full sales cycle from discovery to closing.
• Hire, train, and manage Sales Closers and outbound SDRs.
• Optimize messaging, follow-ups, conversion rates, pipeline management, and forecasting.
• Drive revenue growth, upsell opportunities, and account expansion.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Account Management, GTM Engineering, and the CEO to improve lead quality and revenue performance.
• Track KPIs and provide regular performance updates to leadership.
