Job summary

Pronto Manufacturing & Fulfillment in Manassas, VA is seeking a Founding Recruiter to act as a one-person talent acquisition engine. You will own recruiting across the entire organization—from machine operators to C-level executives—with direct reporting to the CEO and a plan to build and lead an internal recruiting team.

You will partner with the CEO and department heads to forecast hiring needs, shape job requirements, and establish competitive compensation ranges.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience across multiple levels and functions.
• Experience recruiting in manufacturing, dietary supplements, or related industries is highly preferred.
• Ability to build recruiting processes and scalable systems from the ground up.

Position Overview

Pronto is a fast-growing dietary supplement manufacturer, and we are on the verge of a massive expansion. We are looking for a highly experienced Founding Recruiter to come in as a "one-person show" and build our talent acquisition engine from the ground up.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be the absolute driving force behind our immediate hiring needs. You will be responsible for recruiting all required positions across the entire company—from machine operators and maintenance mechanics on the plant floor to QA/QC managers and corporate leadership.

Next year, as our hiring volume skyrockets, this role is designed to scale. You will be tasked with building out your own recruiting team and transitioning into a Head of Talent/Director of Recruiting role. We need an experienced hunter and strategic partner who understands the nuances of manufacturing and is ready to be on the floor every day to build the team of tomorrow.

What You Will Do

• Full-Cycle Recruiting Across All Levels: Own the entire hiring process from opening a requisition to extending the offer for every department. You will source, screen, interview, and close candidates ranging from specialized electro-mechanical technicians and line operators to C-suite executives.
• University & Community Partnerships: Build robust internship and workforce development programs by partnering with local institutions like George Mason University (SciTech Campus), Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA - Manassas Campus), and Prince William County Public Schools. You will also collaborate with county and state economic development initiatives (such as InternshipsVA) to tap into local talent pipelines and leverage available employer grants.
• Build the Engine: Select, implement, and optimize our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) for interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
• Strategic Partnership: Work directly with the CEO and department heads to forecast hiring needs, define job requirements, and establish competitive compensation ranges.
• Employer Branding: Tell the Pronto story. Build our reputation in the Manassas area as an employer of choice in the manufacturing sector to attract top-tier talent.
• Scale the Team: As hiring demands multiply next year, you will recruit, train, and manage a team of internal recruiters and coordinators to support our rapid growth.
• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external staffing agencies for temporary labor and specialized headhunters when necessary.
  

What You Bring to the Table

• Core Experience: 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience with a proven track record of placing both high-volume hourly roles and specialized/salaried positions.
• Industry Expertise (Highly Preferred): Deep experience recruiting within dietary supplements, food & beverage manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, or CPG industries. You already know what a good cGMP-compliant Quality Manager or a high-speed Encapsulation Operator looks like.
• The "Builder" Mentality: You thrive in an environment where processes don't exist yet because you are excited to create them. You don't just fill seats; you build hiring systems.
• Executive Presence: You are comfortable reporting directly to the CEO, pushing back when necessary, and advising leadership on market trends and talent strategy.
• Sourcing Chops: You don't just wait for applicants to apply. You know how to actively hunt passive talent for hard-to-fill technical and leadership roles.
• Scalability: You have a clear vision of how a recruiting department should function at scale and the leadership capabilities to manage a team as the company expands.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive Base Salary: $85,000 - $100,000 per year based on experience.
