Job summary

Avallon is hiring its first dedicated recruiter to own end-to-end hiring for engineering, product, GTM, and operations in NYC. You will source, screen, manage the hiring loop, and close offers, while coordinating with agencies and internal leaders to ensure the right people join the team.

You will build a scalable recruiting process, work with agency partners, and own the candidate experience from intake to offer. This role requires a hands-on recruiter who thrives in a fast-growing startup.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of recruiting experience, including startups or high-growth environments.
• Track record hiring engineers, ML, and product roles.
• Hands-on experience managing external recruiting agencies.
• Ability to sell an early-stage company honestly and assess candidate fit.
• Based in NYC and comfortable working in person.

Responsibilities

• Own hiring end to end for multiple teams (engineering, product, GTM, operations).
• Run agency partners, set priorities, decide what to do in-house vs. via agencies.
• Build the pipeline with outbound sourcing, referrals and networks.
• Design scalable processes with scorecards, structured interviews, and recruiter training.
• Own ATS and recruiting data; report on pipeline health and time-to-hire.
