Job summary

Hedge is seeking a founding wholesale broker to build and own our property practice in San Francisco. You will leverage retail-agency ties, market judgment, and relentless follow-through to secure durable revenue across commercial property, catastrophe-exposed property, and layered placements.

Base salary ranges from $125K to $250K, with target OTE of $500K and equity of 0.50% at hire plus up to 0.25% performance grant.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of brokerage, underwriting or related property experience.
• Strong network and market intuition.
• Disciplined approach to deal flow and revenue forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Build a focused retail-agency pipeline in property.
• Qualify risks, shape submissions, and select markets for opportunities.
• Negotiate terms and drive placements from intake through bind.
• Develop relationships with underwriters and program markets.
• Maintain disciplined pipeline, renewal, and revenue forecasting.
• Turn placement knowledge into repeatable playbooks and feedback.
