Hedge is hiring a founding wholesale broker to build and own our commercial auto practice in San Francisco. You will blend retail-agency relationships, market judgment, and placement craft to generate durable revenue across auto, fleet, and transportation risks.

This role offers ambitious upside with a base salary, uncapped accelerators, and meaningful equity as you shape Hedge's insurance distribution platform from day one.

Qualifications

• Three years of brokerage, underwriting, or closely related experience in commercial auto.
• Strong network and market judgment required to originate and place deals.
• Operating discipline to manage details and sustain momentum in the book.

Responsibilities

• Build a focused retail-agency pipeline in commercial auto.
• Qualify risks, shape submissions, and select markets for each opportunity.
• Negotiate terms and drive placements from intake through bind.
• Develop strong working relationships with underwriters and program markets.
• Maintain disciplined pipeline, renewals, and revenue forecasting.
• Turn placement knowledge into repeatable playbooks and product feedback.
